Jared said he was going to the nursery to pick out some trees and plants to replace the dead ones in our yard. He said it's so easy...they give you flags and you can put the flags where you want them and the nursery will deliver and also plant them. I thought GREAT...go do it! Well, 2 hours later he calls me on his cell phone and says, "come outside, I have a surprise for you." I thought maybe the nursery was going to plant them today...yipee! I walked outside and this is what I found. 
Jared was just as happy as can be...this is how he drove home...how embarrassing! He said, "the nursery wanted $25 to plant each tree and there was a $65 delivery fee...so I just figured we would just do it ourselves." HUH?
Our Conversation:
Jill: How many did you get?
Jared: 3 ficus trees, 5 vines, 2 beugenvilia, 6 hibiscus, and 4 pigmy palms
Jill: Are you serious?
Jared: Yep!
I'm surprised they didn't all fall out of the car! 
We planted this tree and graphed the grass back around it. The hardest part was removing the roots of the old tree. Jared did a great job!
So this is what we did ALL day on Presidents Day! The boys helped, and Ellie was our water girl...a great one I might add! It was A LOT OF WORK, but we had some fun!

the picture of jared in the car with all the plants around him made me laugh. if it makes you feel any better, louie would've done the same thing.

Awesome Jill...some of my favorite memories last summer were planting our trees and bushes and having the kids be "bark spreaders." Jared isn't cheap...he is smart and a good hubby and father. You look like a babe out planting in your cute sunglasses. I am jealous you are planting in FEBRUARY!
My husband would have done the same thing. Those pictures made me laugh. It was great getting together at your house last Monday, when is the next party?

that is HILARIOUS!!!! i love that he shoved them all in your car(i would have done the same thing-i wouldnt have paid them that much $) good job jared!! and fam for planting all those trees, looked like fun!
That is hilarious! I can't believe all those fit in your car! How did it look after they were all out? Your yard looks super nice!
Ya ditto... Justin would've done the same thing. And you do look so cute, especially after a day of gardening!
