No news is good news!!!

I have been a blogging slacker. This is only my 3rd post this month. I just haven't had a whole lot to say. My husband would say that is a good thing. :)
Ellie is enjoying Pre-K this year. This is a picture of her with Cuddly Bear (their classroom sleepover buddy) Ellie goes to school 4 times a week in the afternoon. It's SO great to have her home in the morning and then about the time I put Audrey down for a nap she is off to school. I couldn't ask for a better schedule! Audrey sleeps for at least 3 hours in the afternoon. I've never had the house so quiet...NEVER!!! I have to admit I've been taking long naps and reading novels.(hopefully Jared's not reading this!) I should be cleaning out cupboards, closets and organizing my house. Maybe I'll get to that when the newness of my free time wears off. :)
I am the worst mom ever. My boys did swim team all summer long and not once did I take a picture of them. (I have lots of video) They did a great job! Never once did they miss a practice and they competed in several events all summer long. Well, this is all I have to show for it. I thought about taking them down to the pool where they competed and reenact the races. Their goal was to collect every ribbon...from 1st - 8th place. They got every ribbon except 1st. Zach even traded his 3rd place ribbon for Dallin's 8th place ribbon so he could have them all. What a highlight that was this summer!
Yesterday was unlike any ordinary day. We had a huge rainstorm...one of the worst I've ever seen. There were so many trees that fell over and things ruined. Our play house cover got torn to shreds. Does anyone know where to buy a replacement? This rainstorm lasted about 45 minutes is all but it sure did a lot of damage around our neighborhood. Once it calmed down it was beautiful outside and everything looked so green. (I had to take a picture to prove that in AZ it is still green even in August!)
Meet Green. He is our last puppy of the batch. He was the very first puppy to be reserved by a
man that came down several times from Pinetop. We saved Green for several weeks while his brothers & sister were sold. Well...the man from Pinetop fell through and Green is up for grabs again. He is the most gentle, loving, calm puppy I've ever seen. I have to keep talking myself out of keeping him. He is kennel trained and has all his shots. If anyone knows of a GREAT home for him please email me. jill.everton@cox.net

This is Green's mother Libby,

and his Father Rocky.

Oh I loved those swim team days. Those ribbons are priceless. No one in any other state can appreciate what we parents sit through during those meets.
Sorry I don't have any "juicy" details on the blogger story. She really is trying to keep her identity a secret and Candice is under the journalist oath of secrecy. I do know she is really banking big time. She gets 300$ a month from each of her advertisers. Fun part time job huh!

Hi Jill! Well, I flew back to Hawaii on Tuesday and it's hot and sticky :( Don't like the humidity. Anyway, that storm Monday night was CRAZY! My Dad said, "Look at our backyard! It looks like Lake Powell!!!" It was hilarious because it was true. Amazing rain and wind storm! Anyway, I enjoy reading your blog and congrats on turning the big 3-0! I'll be 24 this Thursday and I'm not married and have no kids. Now THAT is OLD! Ha :)

Jealous of your rainstorm...we haven't had a good one all summer and it is dry dry dry and dusty around here. Plus they are cutting grain, so I am an allergy disaster! I am so happy you are getting some free time. You deserve it and I think you should continue reading and napping. You've been a busy mom these past 8 years and have had your kids close. Tell Jared I said so...the organizing can wait. I only organize when company is coming or a new baby is coming. I miss you...I think I'll call ya today. Bye!
