Disneyland Surprise!

The kids had no idea that we had a trip to Disney Land planned!!! I was so excited I could hardly sleep the night before we left. I couldn't wait to see their little faces light up when they realized where they were headed. We left when the kids got home from school. I had the car packed and suit cases hidden. We began our drive dropping Audrey off at my Aunt Jody's house. (Jody, my Mom, and Jared's Mom watched her while we were gone) We told the kids we wanted to do something fun. One suggested a hike, another bounce-U...when it got to be my turn to suggest something I said, "how about we go to DISNEYLAND!!!" The kids thought I was kidding at first and then I handed them their prizes with t-shirts, note books (for autographs), movies, and Disney maps! They were shocked when they realized that we were on our way...HOORAY!!!

The teacups...next time we won't all try to pile into 1 teacup (way too squishy)...this was however one of Ellie's favorite rides and definitely my least favorite...I felt a little sick after going in circles that many times!!! I must be getting old!

The famous Dumbo ride that kids ALWAYS want to go on and it ALWAYS has the longest line! I haven't figured that one out yet???

Ellie LOVED the Princesses!!! She got to meet one and Dallin got her autograph!

I thought these pictures were so cute...Dallin getting a princesses autograph. I'm so glad my boys don't think they're too cool for the princess/prince thing. Zach rolled his eyes a couple of times...but that was all, no complaining. Ellie was in heaven!!!

They made crowns and then the princesses performed...it was very cute!

Random pictures of day 1...Ellie was so brave the first day. She went on space mountain & splash mountain and wasn't even fazed one bit. I didn't know she was so brave! Day 2...she knew what to expect...so she was a little more picky about the rides. She pretty much went with the flow unless it was a ride were you get wet. She just couldn't stand getting wet in her clothes.
The boys were SOAKED after the river raft ride. Ellie refused to go. (she was smart)
The boys LOVED Pirates of the Caribbean...they got Jack Sparrow hats, and swords. We got lots of looks that day with 2 Jack Sparrows sword fighting each other.
The Disney experience ended with a 2 hour dinner (we were soooo tired we just keep ordering things to keep our table so we could relax) and of course the fireworks! What a fun, magical, and exhausting day! For those of you that do the 7 day Disneyland experience...I have know idea how it is done. I guess we are just not theme park people. 2 days was enough...and perfect.

Yeah! That is so fun that you totally surprised them. I bet they loved it!! I could stay at Disneyland forever but Cody thinks 2 or 3 days is enough too. When you stay longer it just doesn't seem rushed, and you can go back to the hotel and take naps or swim or shop or whatever, and then go back to the park. Anyway, what fun parents you are!

So glad your trip went well...it looks like you had a blast. Love the pirate pictures...those are seriously awesome hats! Love the t-shirts you surprised them with. You look gorgeous in the pictures. Ellie looked adorable..glad she got to meet a princess in person (which princess was that?) I am calling you tomorrow to get details. And seriously, your baby gift rocked! Probably cause it was all for me and not the baby. The hoodie fit perfectly and the bag is my new favorite. I have already gotten tons of compliments on both. Leave it up to you to know just what I always wanted. You are the best sister! Love you!

What fun! Maybe next time we'll surprise our kids and the excitement will last longer than the front entrance! They get so excited that they wear themselves out the night before thinking about it!
