What Dads CAN'T Do

There are lots of things that regular people can do but our dad CAN'T.
Our Dad CAN'T sleep alone.

or play golf with people his own age.

He CAN'T coach a winning team

or be the only birthday boy.

Our dad tries to be scary sometimes, but he's not.

He CAN'T go to Hawaii by himself

or fit all the plants in his car.

Our dad CAN'T go fishing without his boys

or ride his bike with the kids.

Our Dad isn't very strong and needs a lot of help

He always has to ride with a buddy so he doesn't get scared

and he doesn't know how to swim so he gets stuck holding the baby.

He hates to dress up for Halloween but does it without

too much complaining

but he loves to dress up like a cowboy sometimes...just to get a laugh.

Dad never misses a chance to teach a FHE lesson to his kids even if it's on the grass

and never loses his son at the father & sons camp out.

He can't cross the street without holding hands

or go on a pioneer trek without getting dirty.


There are so many things that our dad CAN'T do it's a wonder how he makes it through life at all. But our dad never gives up. No matter how tired he gets, or how hard life is, our dad never quits. And, most of all, whatever happens our dad never ever stops loving us.
