MY PITY PARTY

It's 12:30 a.m. and I just awoke out of bed. I fell asleep in bed holding my Audrey and the 3 older kids piled in. I got up to put some things away after having my cousin Jenn & her family over for dinner. The house is still...(except for the crying puppies)
I thought I would treat this post as a journal entry and list some annoying things that happened this week. Bear with me...I'm feeling sorry for myself.

The missing swimsuit
Jared unloaded the car after swimming Friday night. There was a heap of things lying on the back seat. (towel, 2 pairs of shoes, Ellie's swimsuit, my swimsuit & shorts, and a sippy cup) He scooped all those things up and set them on our other car so he could get Audrey out. His intention was to go back out and grab the pile of stuff but he forgot and got busy doing something else. Saturday morning at 7:00 he pulls his car out to take the boys to their swim meet and drives off. Later that day after all our chores were done we decided to go swimming. I was looking around for my suit (the swimsuit that I bought for Hawaii last year, the one and only swimsuit that I like to wear over all the rest!) I couldn't find it and thought it was strange that it wasn't there. I resorted to wear a different suit and Ellie asked, "Mom, where's your cute one?" (cry, cry, tear, tear) We start to leave and Jared gets a sick look on his face and realizes what he had done. We quickly drove to retrace his steps...first a sippy cup laying just outside our community. Then, as we get out on the main road we find 2 pairs of shoes and Ellie's swimsuit(Ellie was appalled) As we drove back and forth several times the only thing we couldn't find was my swimsuit and shorts. The kids couldn't believe that Dad would something like that, Jared felt horrible, and Dallin wanted to make signs to post all over the neighborhood..."Reward for our mom's missing swimsuit." We laughed, I cried.

The no-show realtor
Saturday afternoon we got a knock at our door. It was a realtor wanting to show our house to a couple who were coming back to see our home for the second time. The realtor said she had called and left a message (which we never received) and they wanted to view the house that very moment. We of course weren't ready and the realtor asked it they could come back tomorrow. We agreed on a time and she left. Jared & I were left thinking...THIS IS IT...we've got to make a good impression tomorrow. With this being their second time viewing the home we thought they had to be super interested. We started to clean and scrub and wash and organize and rearrange...the list could go on and on. We moved the puppies kennel so it wouldn't be an eyesore. We did everything...from organizing several cupboards to refolding every blanket in a closet. We put the kids in the car 1 hour before church started just to do all the finishing touches before we left. We left all the lights on and turned down our thermostat to freezing just so it would be cool and comfortable when they walked in. We made two trips...and took Libby and all the puppies over to Grammies house just so it would be as peaceful as possible. We were so proud of the way our home looked and we were sure to get an offer the next day. Well, 3 hours later after church we come home to NO card on the table and not a trace of anyone. We checked our messages and at 12:45 the realtor calls and says, "my clients have just made an offer on a house and we will NOT be coming today, but if their offer is not excepted then we'll be out looking again and I will call you." AHHHHHH, I was dieing...I demanded that Jared call her back and give her a piece of our mind. So he did!!!
Well those are my stories for this restless night. I better go catch some zzzzz's before I cuss. :)

I'm sorry about your stinky day. Hopefully things will look up for you:) I'm sure you look hot in any bathing suit, but that does totally bite that yours got lost.

If it makes you feel any better, the only reason I'm home for the summer is because I had to do ALL the research on whether or not I needed this ONE English class I was signed up for. I was going back and forth with the BYU Hawaii Registrar's Office saying I didn't need this class and they kept saying I did. This had been going on for 6 months, so I finally sign up for the dumb thing.

I went to the first day of class last Wed., and had a feeling I didn't need to be there. So I went and talked to my Academic Advisor. She COMPLETELY agreed with me, made 2 phone calls, and WAAA LAAA, I don't need the dumb class!!

Too bad I found out about $900 later. I was so mad. I still had to pay July & August rent because it was too late in the game to find someone to take my spot for the Summer since I was coming home now AND I had to pay an additional $150 to change my plane ticket from August to now, in order for me to fly home early. WHAT A PAIN!!! All of this because the University swore up and down I needed the class, and I didn't. I was right all along and still have to suffer losing all that money. What a waste.

Sorry for the long post. It felt good to vent too! We just have bad days sometimes and I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel for you on the bathing suit :( Those are hard to find.
