Jared's huge Court Victory

Yesterday Jared traveled to a small town in northern Arizona to argue a case against a life insurance company. His client had been denied life insurance benefits. The life insurance company presented their case for not having to pay Jared’s client. Jared argued to the court the reasons why the company should pay. The Judge listened to both sides. At the end of Jared’s argument the Judge exclaimed, “I am ready to rule.” Then the Judge proceeded to rule in favor of Jared’s client and ordered that the life insurance company will have to pay all of Jared’s client’s attorneys’ fees and costs associated with the lawsuit. It is great to hear Jared tell the story.

The life insurance company’s attorney flew up on a chartered flight and Jared drove several hours to get there. The other attorney was bragging that she flew to save her client money. Jared couldn’t stop laughing at the thought of the life insurance company now having to pay his time for driving there.

After the ruling Jared’s client, a sixty year old widower and father of three, was weeping. He grabbed Jared after they left the courtroom and hugged him tight as he cried. He was so very grateful, all he could say is “thank you.”

The interesting part of the story is that minutes before the Judge came into the courtroom Jared offered the life insurance company one last opportunity to settle the lawsuit. Jared’s client was anxious to resolve the matter. The life insurance company’s lawyer said, “the company has no interest in a settlement.”

After they lost, the lawyer looked at Jared and said, “well, I guess you are happy you didn’t settle.” Jared is grateful for the opportunity to advocate for the “small guy” against such big and nasty insurance companies. To quote Danny Divito in Rainmaker, "there is nothing better than nailing an insurance company." Ha, ha!
Congratulations honey, I'm so proud of you! You're my hero!

Congrats! That's awesome - oh how I hate insurance companies - I'm convinced that they are the reason there are so many 2 income households these days - we have to pay all those crazy insurance premiums and then when we need them - they don't want to pay - what's up with that?? Way to go Jared!

I just checked out Zach's page - oh my gosh - he's huge - what happened to our little Zach from nursery?

Love you guys!

Way to go Jared! An amazing story that in a way we can all relate to. How proud you must be having an honest husband and not some hot shot cocky attorney like there are so many out there.

You're awesome Jared!!! That is the COOLEST story ever...I got goosebumps and that was from Jill's story....I bet it would be even better if we heard it from Jared...no offense, Jill, but Jared CAN tell a good story. I bet that was just so rewarding. I am so happy that little old guy got what he deserved. Sounds like the insurance company did too. We are so proud of you and Todd thinks you should go get a big celebratory BURGER! Wish we could go with you!

Congratulations!! I am glad to hear when the insurance company looses!!! Ryan has been fighting with three insurance companies for five years and we are just now settling. He was in a car wreck in high school and the insurance companies said they didn’t owe him anything. What a pain in the neck!!
