I noticed two little warts on Zacky tummy as I was putting him to bed tonight. He got really sad when I pointed them out, and covered his tummy so I couldn't see them. His lip started to quiver and tears started to come. I told him that it wasn't a big deal, and how I had tons of warts when I was his age (to make him feel better). I tried to make him laugh...and this was our conversation.
Me: (joking) "Did you know that frogs cause warts?"
Zachy: "I know."
Me: "Have you been kissing some?"
Zachy: (slightly angry) "NO!"
Me: "I was just kidding they don't really cause warts"
Zachy: "Yes they do, Mrs. Shawd told me."
Me: "She did? Well, she was just kidding...they don't really."
Zachy: "No it's true!!! That's how I got these!"
Me: "WHAT? No honey..."
Zachy: "Yeah, I got these in the bathroom at school. I was in there washing my hands and these two boys that were friends came in and one of them had a frog in their pocket."
Me: "A real one?"
Zachy: "Yeah, and I touched it, and that's how I got these warts!"
I reassured him that the frog didn't give him those warts, but he was convinced that the frog did!
I only share this story because I don't want to forget it, and I thought it was so cute. Zachy is such a little sweetheart and is so tender hearted. I'm in love with his little voice and will be so sad when it changes and he says his R's correctly. Not too many days will go by before I get ahold of those cheeks and kiss them to death. "Oh, I love those cheeks"...were some of his first words. (cuz that's all we said to him)
I love you Zachy...more than words can say!

You are a great mom, Jill. I can see why you love Zachey so much too. My favorite thing he says was when we were on the tube on the lake last summer and he said, "It's a dweam come twhoo!" I love the way he talks too. Glad you blogged that...now we just need to find a way to print out our blogs to save them like a journal!
he is so cute---those dang warts, tay has one on her finger(i had them when i was little too) why do we have to get those silly little things?!
That is the cutest story! You'll be so glad that you have that written out. We do need to get Colette and Ellie together, I think they would be great friends. Lets do a playdate and lunch sometime!

He is the cutest little boy and he is so sweet. I loved seeing you guys last weekend and seeing your darling kids. Thanks for the little gifts you gave the kids. It has meant so much to them. You are such a great mom.
How funny! I use to seriously think that frog would give me warts. I dont know when I finally figured it out, I think it was in Bio class in high school.
I just love Zach he was so fun in Sunbeams he always said the cutest thing and he was so good and sweet.
